During the 20th century, four butterfly and sixty of Britain’s moth species became extinct. A further seven out of every ten went into sharp decline.

Across Europe and around the world drastic butterfly losses are also being reported, as we destroy their natural habitats at a frightening pace.

Butterflies are the canaries in the coal mine. When their environment is under stress, they are the first to suffer and disappear. But what is bad for them is bad for all species – including our own. And where they struggle and fail, so, eventually, will everything.

Butterfly World Project Limited has a mission to create an amazing project called butterfly world. Please explore our website to see if we can inspire you to help us put these magical creatures on the national agenda. Because if we don’t, the alternative is unimaginable – for all of us.
